The Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region (ANCA-WR) is looking for a motivated and dynamic Regional Advocacy Officer to lead and implement advocacy initiatives across 18 states (excluding California). This role involves devising strategies to achieve grassroots advocacy goals, maintaining relations with the organization’s Committees, Chapters, and Coalition Organizations, and working closely with the ANCA-WR Executive Director, Government Affairs Director, and National Grassroots Director. Key responsibilities include supporting local chapters, fostering communication with community groups and public officials, and coordinating grassroots engagement efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least one year of advocacy or coalition-building experience, and strong communication and relationship management skills. Experience in the nonprofit sector, knowledge of policy and politics, and a commitment to ANCA-WR’s mission are essential. This position requires travel and occasional lifting.
