Pontifical Visit to East Coast to Start October 4

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, who is currently in Switzerland, will arrive in the United States and start his Pontifical Visit of the Eastern Prelacy, as scheduled, on October 4. The visit will comprise the parishes of New England and Midwest. Last year, the Catholicos had visited the Mid-Atlantic parishes.
 
The Pontifical Visit will encompass the following parishes: Providence (Rhode Island), Indian Orchard, Worcester, Whitinsville, Watertown, North Andover (Massachusetts), Granite City, Glenview, Waukegan (Illinois), Racine (Wisconsin), and Dearborn (Michigan). His Holiness will return to the Holy See of Antelias on October 24.
 
During his visit, Catholicos Aram I will be accompanied by Very Rev. Fr. Hovagim Panjarjian, head of the Department of Communications of the Catholicosate, and Very Rev. Fr. Sarkis Aprahamian, head of the Department of Ecumenical and Christian-Islam Relations in the Middle East.
