A LAUSD school in North Hollywood is currently grappling with allegations of attendance fraud. Dan Chang a math teacher at the school and candidate for the LAUSD District 3 school board blew the whistle on the ordeal. Chang describes a specific day June 9th, 2023 where no eighth graders were present but someone changed the attendance sheet to mark them as present to receive funding. LAUSD has issued a statement saying they completed their investigation and the incident was isolated but administrative action has been taken against those involved.
