Journalist and outspoken government critic Abraham Gasparyan was detained at Zeytun Police Department following the use of force by police to scatter demonstrators on Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan, human rights advocate Ruben Melikyan disclosed.
Melikyan shared a photograph on Facebook showing Gasparyan with blood stains on his face and his T-shirt ripped.
Several other civilians were injured as a result of police actions.
