A Yerevan court has rejected the lawsuits filed by the Mayor of Yerevan against the representative of the Supreme Body of the ARF Armenia, deputy of the “Hayastan” faction, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, by which the municipality had demanded to fine Saghatelyan for holding emergency gatherings last year, Vahe Grigoryan reported on facebook .
“As I promised, the mayor of Yerevan lost for the 3rd and 4th time as well.
“Based on the fact of last year’s protests and emergency gatherings, the mayor of Yerevan filed 4 lawsuits against Ishkhan Saghatelyan, demanding that he be fined up to 300,000 AMD as an organizer, in total 1 million 200 thousand AMD.
“I am the representative of Ishkhan Saghatelyan in the 4 related cases, the protection of his rights and freedoms in these cases is carried out by me.
“On June 9, I already reported that the mayor of Yerevan lost two cases against Ishkhan Saghatelyan: VD/5036/05/22 and VD/5094/05/22.
“A little while ago, the Administrative Court of the Republic of Armenia satisfied our demands in cases VD2/0186/05/22 and VD2/0178/05/22, that is, it rejected the two claims of Yerevan Mayor against Ishkhan Saghatelyan.
“P.S. Dear and dear journalists, the losing party is the mayor of Yerevan ex officio, in his absence, the person temporarily performing his duties, because the right to initiate a lawsuit is determined by the position of the head of the community, and after the resignation of Hrachya Sargsyan, the person(s) performing the duties of the mayor of Yerevan did not give up the lawsuit. take note of this,” Grigoryan wrote.
