The Armenian Relief Society (ARS) of Western USA, Regional Executive Board is preparing for a Meet & Greet event it will host on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 between the hours of 6 pm – 8 pm at the ARS Regional Headquarters (517 W. Glenoaks Blvd., Glendale, CA 91202).
With invitations extended to state, county, and city public officials, community leaders, representatives of local organizations, hospitals, and more, the event will provide an opportunity to become better familiarized with the non-profit organization’s wide-ranging programs and activities both locally and internationally, foster collaboration, cultivate relationships and potential partnerships. Speakers will include ARS Regional Executive Board Chairperson Vicky Marashlian.
The organization’s board members have recently returned from Armenia and the event will also serve as an opportunity to reflect on the plight of Artsakh Armenians, as well as provide on-the-ground insights by members. Following the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh, which has created a humanitarian crisis whereby over 100,000 Armenians were forcibly displaced from their ancestral homeland, ARS regions throughout the world have mobilized to provide aid to Artsakh refugees by way of housing, transportation, food, hygiene products, financial assistance, and more.
