On its Thanksgiving day telethon program, the Armenia Fund hosted Avedik Izmirlian, who is purportedly a boardmember of the Armenia Fund United States affiliate. Oragark is not able to independently verify whether and in what capacity Izmirlian serves on the Armenia Fund’s board.
However, on its program, which was purported to be live on November 24, the hosts, screen, and Izmirlian himself falsely claimed that Izmirlian is a representative of both the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and the Armenian Cultural Foundation.
This despite the fact, that Izmirlian was expelled and banned from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation in early 2021, as widely reported by multiple media outlets.

Furthermore, Izmirlian’s claim to be affiliated with the Armenian Cultural Foundation is disputed. On November 20, a majority of the ACF’s legitimate delegates elected a board that neither includes Izmirlian nor recognizes him as a representative, as reported by Oragark and multiple other sources affiliated with the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and its affiliated nonprofit Armenian Cultural Foundation.
