The Department of State announced on June 7 that James C. O’Brien, Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs, is scheduled to visit Yerevan, Armenia from June 10 to 12.
During his visit, Assistant Secretary O’Brien will preside over the U.S.-Armenia Strategic Dialogue Capstone meeting, aimed at assessing the substantial advancements in enhancing bilateral relations and strategizing future actions.
He is slated to hold discussions with high-ranking government officials, focusing on U.S. assistance towards achieving a lasting and respectable peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This includes exploring the utilization of the Alma Ata declaration as a framework for delineating borders, as stated by the Department of State.
Furthermore, the Assistant Secretary of State will convene with representatives from the business sector, fostering dialogue and cooperation.
