On September 20, at the opposition rally held in Yerevan’s Republic Square, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, Representative of the Supreme Body of the ARF Armenia and Parliament Member from the “Hayastan” faction stated that “Yesterday, we had a discussion with almost all the opposition forces of Armenia to discuss the road map to get out of the situation. We have reached mutual understanding on two issues and we have a decision. first, that in order to lead the people’s movement, the struggle, a body should be created that will bear responsibility for all this, lead the people and bring the struggle to its victorious end. It will be called the National Committee.”
Saghately added, “Second, we have developed a plan of action, the end result of which should be the removal of this evil government. The parliamentary opposition will also take advantage of the impeachment process in the National Assembly within the framework of that program. We will convey the ideas of the plan formed as a result of the consultations of political forces to the newly formed National Committee, which will present a plan of steps and actions from this platform shortly.”
“It’s not too late, people, if we delay, we will also lose Syunik and Gegharkunik, don’t be discouraged. We must continue the fight. It’s never too late,” added Saghatelyan.
