An article published in Armenia’s “Past” newspaper on March 4 and picked up by several other news outlets in Armenia claims that Nikol Pashinyan has decided to create a new political party in Armenia.
According to the report, the reasons for Pashinyan’s initiative are problems within the Pashinyan regime’s ruling “Civil Contract” party, coupled with Pashinyan’s rapidly falling approval ratings. As such, Pashinyan is purportedly seeking to create an artificial “counterweight” in Armenia’s political field to the “Civil Contract” party, as an alternative or a buffer.
